Beatrijs Dikker is a curator and cultural mediator from the Netherlands, based in Berlin since 2014. Since September 2021 she works at the inclusive Atelier Booth 17 in Berlin Licherfelde Ost. Since 2017, she is one of the key members of Topio – public space for privacy: an initiative focusing on privacy and freedom of communication on the internet. By means of creative actions the project aims to empower users by increase the awareness, use, and development of open-source technologies. From 2017 - 2021 she worked as a curator and manager at the artist initiative ABA (Air Berlin Alexanderplatz) e.V., that is concerned with the presentation and documentation of site specific, research based artistic practises. In 2013 she co-founded the artists initiative Wo Meine Sonne Scheint in Rotterdam, a short term residency program organizing site specific exhibition projects on various locations in the city.
In 2017 she received her MA at the Institute for Art in Context (UdK) in Berlin. She was guest-student at the department for Visual Culture and Contemporary Art of the Aalto University in Helsinki (2015) as well as at the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing (2010-2011). In 2012 she received her bachelor degree in Fine Arts at the ArtEZ Art College in Arnhem (NL).
